At Stirling Street Arts Centre, our vision is to be recognised and celebrated as the leading centre for excellence in the arts across the Southwest of WA — a place where creativity thrives, community connects, and artistic expression flourishes. The “Studio 6 Art Gallery” is a bold step toward bringing that vision to life. This three-week, rolling exhibition will transform our Studio 6 into a dynamic showcase of the extraordinary talent from within our 17 diverse membership groups, uniting all the disciplines from pottery and textiles to painting, mosaics, and beyond in one vibrant, living gallery experience.
More than just an exhibition, the “Studio 6 Art Gallery” is an invitation — for our members to actively participate by exhibiting and volunteering, and for the wider community to step inside, discover something new, and directly support local artists. By refreshing the artworks throughout the three-week period, we create a sense of energy and anticipation, encouraging repeat visits and deeper engagement. It’s a space where visitors can connect not just with art, but with the stories, skills, and people behind it.
This initiative is designed with both ambition and sustainability in mind, and we plan for the rolling gallery model to become a signature offering, providing ongoing opportunities for artists from the SouthWest to showcase and sell their work while strengthening Stirling Arts Centre’s profile as a creative hub in the region. Ultimately, the “Studio 6 Art Gallery” is about elevating our community, celebrating artistic excellence, and building a thriving, connected, inclusive cultural future.
