Bunbury will host a full day of footy excitement on Sunday 8 June as North Melbourne takes on the West Coast Eagles at Hands Memorial Oval, with the match kicking off at 1.20pm.
From 9am, Bicentennial Square in Bunbury’s city centre will come alive with the Battle for Bunbury—a free community event featuring food trucks, a coffee van, and live entertainment, including a performance by Codee Lee Down. The match will be broadcast live on the big screen at the Square.
Activities on the day include:
- Meet and greet with West Coast AFLW players
- Participation prizes from North Melbourne Football Club
- Face painting in team colours
- Temporary tattoo station
- Kids’ maker station for noise rattlers and jersey decoration
- Big Kick Contest
- Wheelchair Football exhibition at Koolambidi Woola, presented by All Abilities Australia
- WA Football Commission’s Find the Footy prize activation
Free shuttle buses will run to and from Hands Memorial Oval from Bunbury Bus Station before and after the game.
After the final siren, visitors are encouraged to continue the celebrations at venues across the city.
