Art Exhibition @BRAG: Painting my Country by Rhona Wallam

A celebration of Artist Rhona Wallam, journeying through her life of painting Country as a Wardandi, Wadjuck, and Balladong Woman and Elder.

This exhibition showcases a beautiful and exciting body of work, rich in the colour and landscapes of Wardandi Country. From early pieces under the tuition of renown Noongar Artists Lance Chad and Shane Pickett; Aspiring from a Carrolup Tradition of Landscape painting developed here in the South West of WA in the Mission School in the 1940’s, Rhona has created her own unique style of Landscape painting.

This exhibition presents a stunning personal collection including new experimental paintings along with works on paper bark from the City of Bunbury Collection and pieces from the Bunbury Regional Hospital private collection.

Painting my Country will be on at BRAG from 18 November to 4 February 2024.

The gallery is open from Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm. Entry is always free.
