The Albany Pride Festival is one of Western Australia’s biggest regional Pride events, uniting the Queer and Allied community of Albany/Kinjarling and beyond. Held over the last two weekends of February each year, it’s a time for celebration, visibility, and connection. For locals, it’s a cherished moment of pride and unity; for visitors, it’s an invitation to experience the vibrancy of Albany’s LGBTQIA+ community and the beauty of the region—a reason to visit again or even consider a more permanent stay.
A cornerstone of Albany’s tourist calendar, the festival showcases the region’s inclusivity and diversity. Following the 2024 theme “We are Family,” this year’s theme, “CommUNITY,” emphasises unity and collective resilience in the face of challenges.
With events ranging from family-friendly picnics and art exhibitions to lively performances, a vibrant fair day, a barn dance, and drag bingo, the festival offers something for everyone. For the full program and tickets, visit the Albany Pride Festival website.
