Between Heaven and Earth is a major new solo exhibition by renowned Western Australian artist Sam Broadhurst, presented at Yallingup Galleries this summer. Known for his sculptural impasto oil paintings and his deep connection to the South West landscape, Broadhurst’s latest body of work invites viewers to experience the region from above — its shifting forms, its quiet rhythms, and its sense of expansive stillness.
Working from his bushland studio near Margaret River, Broadhurst brings a unique blend of scientific training, craftsmanship, and contemplative observation to his art. Each painting is meticulously built with hand-crafted oil mediums, layered textures, and a focus on light that reveals the landscape as a unified, living organism.
Between Heaven and Earth runs from 3–11 January 2026, offering visitors and holidaymakers a rich cultural experience during one of the South West’s busiest seasons. Opening Night will be held at 5 pm on Saturday 3 January, inviting guests to meet the artist, view the full collection, and enjoy the gallery’s scenic bushland setting.
