The winery incorporates a Cellar Door, multi-award winning restaurant, Art Gallery, serviced boardroom and coordinates scenic charter flights from Perth landing on the Estate’s private airstrip.
Maintaining a team of dedicated winemakers, and now under the direction of two generations of the founding family, Leeuwin exports its wines to over 30 countries. The Estate is ranked as a “five star” winery by James Halliday, who notes “This outstanding winery and vineyard is owned by the Horgan family, founded by Denis and Tricia, who continue their involvement, with son Justin Horgan and daughter Simone Furlong joint chief executives. The Art Series Chardonnay is, in my opinion, Australia’s finest example, based on the wines of the last 30 vintages.”
On four occasions, Leeuwin has been included in the category of International Winery of the Year by US Wine & Spirits Magazine and included in the prestigious French publication, 100 Vins De Legende. Leeuwin wines have received Decanter’s highest recommendation, have featured on the cover of Wine Spectator and been included in the Editor’s annual selection of Top 100 Wines a number of times.
