Peaceful Bay

The seabreeze caressing your face. The quiet seclusion of the forest at your doorstep. And do you hear that? Whale songs across the water. Welcome to the coastal charm of Peaceful Bay.

Located 33km from Walpole and 45km from Denmark, this quaint townsite offers a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of city life. Think large grass sites, expansive white sand beaches, and peppy trees that provide just the right amount of shade. Whether you’re seeking tranquillity as you rest up at the caravan park, a cheeseboard on hand, or delicious local flavours from the acclaimed fish and chip shop, holidays in Peaceful Bay are about reconnecting with nature.

It’s all about easy living and slow holidays here. Pack the hiking boots for a leisurely stroll along part of the famed Bibbulman Track, the south coast scenery leaving you breathless in more ways than one. Plan your visit during Makuru (June – Jul) to see humpback and southern right whales breaching off the beaches. Or come in the spring months of Djilba (Aug-Sept) and Kambarang (Oct-Nov) to gaze at heaths of wildflowers blooming with colour.

Peaceful Bay is also a part of the Great Southern Region.

Peaceful Bay Fish and Chips is an acclaimed spot for dinner.
