Kaarl Wirn Cultural Tours Albany
Discover Noongar culture on Country with Kaarl Wirn Cultural Tours near Albany. Led by local Aboriginal guide and Cultural Custodian Lindsay Dean and family, these immersive experiences share stories, traditional skills and a hands-on catch-and-cook adventure along Oyster Harbour.

Kaarl Wirn Cultural Tours invites visitors to connect with Noongar culture and Kinjarling Country (Albany) through experiences shaped by storytelling, traditional practices and deep connection to land and waterways. Led by local Aboriginal guide and Cultural Custodian Lindsay Dean, alongside family members, tours offer an intergenerational way to learn while enjoying the Great Southern outdoors.

Their signature Catch and Cook experience runs along the banks of Oyster Harbour, where you’ll learn ancient fishing techniques as you look for fish, crab and shellfish, then gather around the campfire for a yarn with damper and (if you’re lucky) the day’s catch cooked over the fire. It’s a meaningful, hands-on option for travellers who want more than sightseeing—perfect for curious couples, families and small groups seeking an authentic cultural experience in the Albany region.
