Pemberton Discovery Tours
Graeme and Toni started Pemberton Discovery Tours in 1999 after years of visiting the region and staying on the family farm. Their tours share the story of this amazing place, the incredible biodiversity and magnificent landscapes with the mission ‘Best off the Highway’ seasoning every experience. All tours are small in number and private tours are available.

The ‘Beach & Forest Eco Adventure’ is a half day adventure that takes you off the usual tour routes and off-road into the National Parks near Pemberton. Journeying through ancient Karri Forests scattered with seasonal wildflowers before heading through Yeagarup sand dunes, the largest landlocked sand dunes in the southern hemisphere, travelling through peppermint forests and onto the Yeagarup Beach, enjoying the ride along this seemingly endless and often uninhabited (except by birdlife) coastline before reaching the Warren River as it meets the ocean.

This nationally recognised Advanced Eco Accredited tour operates all year round in all weather conditions and highlights the Yeagarup Dunes, Great Southern Ocean, and the D’Entrecasteaux and Warren National Parks near Pemberton all the time entertaining, educating and enthralling you on the unique and beautiful landscapes, local flora and fauna and history of the region.

The Pemberton Wine Discovery Tour is a half day tour with pickup from your accommodation so you can enjoy meeting local characters and try their produce, wine and ciders they lovingly produce from their premises. The journey includes a guided journey through the region from paddock to plate and visits a number of cellar doors, private vineyards, orchard and farms on the journey. This is a great mix with the Beach & Forest Eco Adventure as a full day experience, really discovering the fabric that ties the forests to the farms.

The tour vehicles are often used to transport and assist walkers and riders on the Bibbulmun Track and Munda Biddi Trail as it weaves its way through our forests. Contact Toni for assistance in working out the easiest way to walk or cycle the trails through the region.

WA Wilderness – brought to you by Pemberton Discovery Tours

WA Wilderness gives you a chance to go camping in our Southern Forest National Parks, with a basic camp set up and optional extras to give you a flexible holiday.

Bring your friends or family, the site is chosen and tent erected, bring the small stuff, we have the big stuff here.

Kind of like a pop up hotel room in the forest, next to the river, in a world heritage listed National Landscape.

WA Wilderness Camping Experience was born from a partnership between Pemberton Discovery Tours and the Department of Parks and Wildlife as part of a drive to get visitors back into the National Parks as “Parks for People”.

The WA Wilderness product encourages people back into camping by providing the ability to ‘go camping’ without having to purchase or borrow equipment. It means you can ‘go camping’ without having to buy, clean or store camping equipment after you return home.

Its Glamping for people who love Camping 🙂

Glamping

The ideal camping experience, everything fully set up and maintained for your own pleasure; tents, beds, cooking facilities all provided. The camps are located in the National Park near Pemberton and give you the opportunity to be only one step from nature in your very own campsite.

Perfect for families with limited time, or visitors travelling from interstate or overseas. These bookable campsites ensure you have your camping holiday organised! We have two options – check them out when you book as we can either provide bedding (great if you are coming from overseas or interstate) or give you the catered camping experience where everything but the bedding and ensuite is provided (perfect if you already have some equipment and have room in the car).

Currently located on the banks of the Warren River at Drafty’s Campground, enjoy the wineries, restaurants and galleries scattered amongst the countryside or simply relax in your own personal piece of paradise!

Deep in the forest, at the heart of the Warren National Park, these cool, green, campsites lie on the banks of the Warren River.

Camp In Style

The wilderness tents have been specifically chosen for this region.

The high rainfall, loam soils, campsite size and a variety of campsites in the region are the reason behind choosing the Black Wolf tent.

Made to withstand the toughest of weather conditions, these tents are comfortable, easy to keep clean and camouflaged to the environment. They also offer consistent height inside within a small footprint.

With couples and families in mind, the additional veranda and picnic table shelter gives you an allocation of space and again additional shelter from the elements.

Why not! Enjoy what camping is – spending time with people you love just one step from nature.
