Mt Trio Bush Camp & Caravan Park
Bush camp and caravan park on a working farm beside the Stirling Range — minutes from Bluff Knoll, great facilities, and spring wildflower walks.

Nestled at the base of the majestic Stirling Range National Park, Mt Trio Bush Camp & Caravan Park offers an authentic outback escape surrounded by towering peaks, sweeping plains, and ever-changing skies. Located on a peaceful working farm just minutes from Bluff Knoll—the highest peak in southern WA—this charming bush retreat blends rustic country hospitality with modern comfort and a true sense of wilderness.

The campground’s relaxed atmosphere invites guests to unwind, whether they’re returning from a day of hiking, photographing wildflowers, or simply soaking in the beauty of Western Australia’s Great Southern. Choose from spacious powered and unpowered sites scattered among native bushland, where kangaroos graze at dawn and the sound of birdsong replaces the city’s buzz. The facilities are among the best in the region: a fully equipped camp kitchen with BBQs, fridges, freezers, microwaves, kettles and toasters; hot, clean showers and flushing toilets; and even a comfortable camp lounge—known as the “Bluff Knoll Ski Club HQ”—with a wood heater for cosy evenings.

Visitors gather around the central campfire in winter (fire season permitting), swapping stories beneath a canopy of stars, while others linger over meals in the communal kitchen or browse the on-site information room filled with local maps and guides. Families appreciate the open spaces and friendly farm setting, while bushwalkers and nature lovers relish the easy access to Stirling Range’s iconic peaks such as Mt Trio, Toolbrunup, Talyuberlup and Mt Hassell—all within a short drive.

During the wildflower season (September–October), the campground becomes a hub for orchid enthusiasts. The popular Guided Wildflower Orchid Walks, led daily by the hosts, showcase the extraordinary diversity of native orchids and flora for which the Stirling Range is world-renowned. Whether you’re a hiker, birdwatcher, photographer or simply in search of serenity, Mt Trio Bush Camp & Caravan Park provides a welcoming base to reconnect with nature and experience one of Western Australia’s most beautiful landscapes.
