This protected bay has shallow, calm, turquoise waters and is lined with shady trees – the perfect setting for a relaxing family day at the beach.

Just out of Dunsborough and below the eastern tip of Cape Naturaliste, you’ll find the azure waters of Meelup Beach, with beautiful white sand, clear turquoise water and shady grassed areas.

Paddle along the shoreline from bay’s edge to bay’s edge or, for a more challenging adventure, manoeuvre yourself around the rocky headland.

Meelup Beach is protected and has shallow, calm, turquoise waters great for little ones to splash around in. Or pop on a snorkel and swim along the rocky natural groynes at either end of the beach.
