ArtSouthWA 2024 Southern Art & Craft Trail
Welcome to ArtSouthWA Inc., a vibrant not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the diverse talents of visual artists across the southern region of Western Australia. Run by a passionate committee of volunteers and contracted personnel, we support a wide array of art galleries, practitioners, and arts organisations in our community. ArtSouthWA operates year-round, with our most exciting venture being the annual Southern Art and Craft Trail.

Welcome to ArtSouthWA Inc.!

We’re a lively not-for-profit organization, established in 2000, that’s all about fostering connections, encouraging collaboration, and championing the amazing talents of visual artists in our region. Our organization is deeply embedded in the community and is run by a passionate volunteer Board, various sub-committees, other dedicated volunteers, and contracted personnel.

We proudly support over 600 visual artists from the southern region of Western Australia. Out of these, 500 are represented by art groups, including galleries, retailers, and community-run organizations. The remaining 100 are individual members who bring their unique artistic visions to the table.

ArtSouthWA operates all year round, with our most significant project being the annual Southern Art & Craft Trail. This fantastic event, celebrating its 21st year in 2024, covers a vibrant array of towns such as Albany, Torbay, Kronkup, Little Grove, Denmark, Walpole, Mount Barker, Lake Grace, Kojonup, Manjimup, and Gnowangerup.

The Art Trail features 74 diverse venues, including cosy cafes, charming wineries, vibrant galleries, local businesses, community halls, libraries, art centres, studios, and pop-up spaces. These venues showcase a stunning variety of arts and crafts, from textiles, painting, and sculpture to jewellery, printmaking, photography, pottery, and woodcraft.

Throughout the Trail, artists will host demonstrations and talks in their working studios, creating a welcoming and spirited community atmosphere. We invite you to join us and experience the incredible diversity and talent of our local artists!
